Music with Ms Carissa

When you think of early childhood education innovators, Carissa Orr is the first person that should come to mind. 

For over twelve years, Carissa has been a passionate early childhood education teacher, consultant and advocate. Understanding what it’s like to “only feel good at school”, she is committed to lifting the field of Early Childhood Education out of the depths of mere “babysitting” by leveraging music, conscious discipline and activity based learning. 


Music with Ms Carissa Guides Teachers Connections with Infants, Toddlers and Preschool Aged Children


Carissa created the “Not So Elementary” kids album and the Music with Ms Carissa program including a corresponding Teacher’s Guide with extensions for infants, toddlers and preschool age children. 

As a former adjunct instructor for Baker College, Carissa is currently a blogger, vlogger, and popular keynote speaker. As a consultant, she has shared her expertise with such organizations as Great Start to Quality, Metro Detroit Head Start agencies, Michigan Association for the Education of Young, the Association for Child Development (ACD), Metro Detroit Mommy, and the Orion Art Center The Library Network.
